Google New York
Google's New York presence began in a Starbucks on 86th Street with a one-person sales “team” in 2000. Engineering came along in 2003, and we moved into our current 111 Eighth Avenue office in 2006. Two years later, we opened additional office space in Chelsea Market, and in 2010 we purchased the avenue-length Port Authority building to accommodate our growth. With more nearly 5,000 employees, New York is our second-largest office after our headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.
